Time

Already into February!
And yet in some respects, I am not too sorry.
Winter certainly does feel like a time,
to hibernate in the comfort of your home!

It's so good to see the morning & evening light increasing,
as I dislike going to work in the dark
 & returning in the dark.

A pet hate is also having to de-ice the car early in the morning.
causing the fingers to go numb,
regardless if you're wearing the thickess of gloves.

But, dispite these aggravations,
I do believe in the quotation that my daughter has,
 displayed on a wooden plaque.

A Happy Weekend to You All!

Seasonal Red

It's that time of year,
preparing the home with Christmas decorations,
featuring the warmth & brightness of the colour Red

With the latest weather,
snow helps add to that christmas feel,
as the snow wraps itself around the many clusters of red plump berries.

The Christmas season blending together,
with the manmade efforts & the ways of nature.

Belgium Shopping

Displays of wooden clogs. . . .

To rows of lace making shops. . . .

Tapestries of various designs for sale,
or even buy the panels to make your own cushions etc. . . .

A very wide choice of commercial or handmade lace,
beautiful & intricate. . . .

An apetite for Belgium chocolates,
 to tempt anyones palate. . . .

With taste in mind, plenty of Belgium Beer to sample. . . .

Besides the relaxing meal of a cheese fondue. . . .

Much else to see,
but one of the biggest surprises,
an all year Christmas shop. . . .

Retail Therapy

Just loved browsing around this shop situated in Dunster, Somerset.
Could have easily spent loads but adult restraints eased there way in. . . .

So much to choose from,
but lots to give a home personal character.
I eventually bought a roll of the above ribbon,
a minature wooden hanger of the 'Dove of Peach'.
And, finally a hanging string of hearts & one of metal  bronze birds.

Just wish I knew the name of the shop!
I'll just have to go again!
